본 연구소는 아름다운 목소리 연구소 (Beautiful Voice Research Laboratory) 라 칭하며 아름다운 목소리 이비인후과의 부설기관으로 둔다.

본 연구소는 후두의 신경생리학에 관한 기초연구를 수행함으로써 음성의 생성원리에서부터 질환의 발생기전과 그 치료 방법의 개발에 이르기까지 음성의학과 언어의학의 발전에 기여함을 우선 목적으로 하며, 연구를 통한 국내외 연구기관 및 학자 상호간의 정보 교환과 유대 강화 증진에 기여함을 이차 목적으로 한다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 사업을 행한다.
1. 음성의학의 기초가 되는 후두신경생리학 연구
2. 음성과 한국어에 관한 의학적 연구
3. 음성직업인의 음성관리 및 진료
4. 연구발표회, 강연회, 강습회 등의 개최
5. 연구논문집 및 계몽책자 등 간행물 발간
6. 외부로부터 위촉된 조사, 연구 및 진료
7. 기타 목적달성을 위하여 필요한 사업

연구소장은 연구소를 대표하고 제반업무를 관장하며 의장으로서 제 회의를 관장한다.
연구소장은 필요에 따라 연구원 및 연구보조원을 둘 수 있다.

본 연구소에 운영위원회를 두고 운영방침을 결정한다.
운영위원회는 본 연구소의 사업과 이에 따른 예결산 등 연구소 운영에 관한 중요사안을 심의 의결한다.
운영위원장은 소장이 되며, 운영위원의 수는 3~4명 내외로 한다.
운영위원회에서는 연구소의 사업계획, 예결산, 규정 및 운영세칙의 개정, 기타 운영상 필요한 사항을 의결한다.

본 연구소의 재정은 다음 수입으로 충당한다.
